Yvonne Tatum Arthur, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born March 11, 1939 in Minden, WV. she was the daughter of the late Clifford Tatum and Helen Faye Bowers Tatum.

Yvonne was a proud 1957 graduate from Collins High School, after high school she attended Glenville State College and West Virginia University. She worked for Minden Elementary, Mount Hope Elementary, and Oak Hill, Elementary before retiring. In her leisure she enjoyed watching and feeding her birds, watching Nascar, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Carlos Arthur, Sr.; and 3 siblings, Wallace Rhodes, Betty Lou Ignatovich, and Kay Frances Segebarth.

Those left to cherish her wonderful and loving memory include her loving son, Carlos "Butch" Arthur, Jr.

A memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Fayetteville United Methodist Church 120 High Street Fayetteville WV, 25840 with Pastor Michele Lewis officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the church.
