William Harry Wright

William Harry Wright , 81, of Pax, WV died on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV. Born January 23, 1931 at Pax, WV he was the son of the late Bruce and Lessie Thompson Wright. Mr. Wright was a retired coal miner having worked for Central Appalachian Coal at Morris Creek and was a member of the UMWA. He was a US Army veteran. His wife, Nina Virginia Thompson Wright preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, John B. Wright of Pax, one daughter, Cathy E. Wright of Pax, two sisters, Mary Frances Spears of Mount Hope and Bernice Elliott of Seymour, TN and three grandchildren, John B. Wright, II, Daniel B. Wright, II and Steven M. Rutledge. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of Mr. Wright's life will be held at a later date.
