Wendell Lee Whitt, 60, of Bud Mountain, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Wyoming Healthcare Center, New Richmond. 

Born October 3, 1963 at Elkton, Maryland, he was the son of the late Vetty and Rosalyn (Stanley) Whitt. 

Wendell was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church on Bud Mountain. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, going to church, and spending time with his family and friends. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his four sisters, Marilyn Katubi and her husband, Jack of Graterford, PA, Brenda Whitt, Patty Whitt, and Amanda O'Neal all of Bud Mountain; one brother, Bill Whitt and his wife, Valerie of Crumpler; two aunts, Joyce Hylton and Martha Rowe; four uncles, Lewis Stanley, Amon Stanley, Lee Roy Stanley, and John Stanley and his wife, Mary; five nieces, Kelsey O'Neal, Chelsey O'Neal, Tiffany Burks, Magen Whitt, and Heather Fitzko; four nephews, Ben O'Neal, Kody Whitt, Mark Whitt, and Anthony Fitzko; and a host of cousins and friends. 

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.

Graveside service and burial will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Bud Cemetery, Bud with Elder Russell McCoy and Elder Terry Green officiating. 

For those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
