Wandell Brady Adkins

Wandell Brady Adkins, 81, of New Richmond, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born December 7, 1944 at Boone County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Helen (Clitus) Adkins. 

Wandell was a heavy equipment operator. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren whom he loved so much and was so proud of. He loved the residents and staff at Wyoming Nursing and Rehab Center, he loved making bracelets and necklaces for everyone at the nursing home, and enjoyed playing Bingo, and attending the church services there. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Abby Hardy; son, Wandell Brady Adkins, Jr.; three grandchildren, Autumn Hardy, Landon Hardy, and Lainee Hardy; three step grandchildren, Ryan Vance, Cynthis Adkins, and Brayden Adkins; one sister, Rose Mae Dolin; one brother, Leslie Adkins; and special friend, Betty Adkins. 

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no service at this time.
