Wanda Lee Angel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Beards Fork, West Virginia, on October 3rd, 2026.

Wanda was born on June 24th, 1943. She was a truly wonderful and selfless person whose kindness touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a loving heart and would do anything for her family and friends. Her generosity, compassion, and unconditional love will be remembered by all who knew her. She had a special way of making the people around her feel loved and cared for, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin Angel, who passed away in 1998.She is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Angel (Mike) and Robin Underwood (Jeffrey); her grandchildren, Jessica Williams (Wayne) , Jacob Underwood (Phillip, father), and Emilie Loving (Nicolas); and her great-grandchildren, Raelynn Underwood and Karson Phillips, with another great-grandson on the way.

Wanda was also preceded in death by her siblings, Pete Comer and Wayne Kirk. She is survived by her siblings, Tommy Comer, Nancy Miller, Dorothy Murdock, and Debbie Spurlock. As well as her sister in law Joyce Stover. (Junior).

Wanda’s greatest joy was her family and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Though her passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved her, her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel 999 Jones Avenue Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Nicholas Pennington officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
