Victoria Karen "Vicki" Caldwell , 70, of Oak Hill, WV died on Saturday, June 02, 2018 at CAMC - General Division in Charleston, WV.
Born April 18, 1948 at Mongtomery, WV she was the daughter of the late Earl and Viola Hensley Caldwell.
She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill.
Vicky was a graduate of Beckley College, West Virginia Institute of Technology and received her masters degree from Marshall University. An employee of the Fayette County Board of Education she was an art teacher at the Fayette Plateau Vo-Tech, Option 4, sub and artist in resident for Mount Hope Elementary and Middle schools. She was the art teacher at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill and adjunct instructor at West Virginia Tech and Glenville College-Summersville campus. In addition so was a private art teacher and home school teacher in Raleigh County.
An award winning quilter, Vicky was the coordinator for the Bridge Day Quilt Show and chairman of the Fayette County Appalachian Quilt Trail Project.
Her husband, Michael Robert Humphrey preceded her in death on Feb 21, 2001. She was also preceded by paternal grandparents, Alvis "Pat" and Essie Vance Caldwell; maternal grandparents, Roy and Thelma James Hensley; aunts, Merle Caldwell and Delores Hensley Galotta; and uncle, Gerald Cornett.
Survivors include her adopted family, Amy Inghram, Ruth Inghram, and Jennifer Inghram Saunders; and special friends, Mike and Barb Dunlap, Nancy Sanger and Ann Raney.
It was Vicki's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Soosai Arokiadass officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral.
Her cremains will be interred at High Lawn Memorial Park at a later date.
