Obituary

Thurmond Harold Morton, Jr. "Tink" age 75, of Lochgelly, WV. passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at CAMC Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill with his loving family by his side.

Born October 16, 1950 in Lochgelly, WV he was the son of the late Thurmond H. Morton, Sr. and Alberta Jean Morton.

Tink was a graduate from Collins High School, was a retired UMWA coal miner, an avid golfer, and had a love for classic cars. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family. Anyone who knew Tink would tell you he never met a stranger and was first to give a helping hand to anyone in need.

Tink was preceded in death by his parents, Thurmond H. Morton, S. and Alberta Jean Morton; a sister, Alberta Ramsey; and 3 brothers, Ronald Morton, Robert Morton, and James Morton.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife of 58years Brenda Morton of Lochgelly, WV.; daughter, Melissa Morton Robinson and husband Charlie of Gatewood, daughter, Lisa Kinsler and husband Alan of Oak Hill, and daughter, Patricia Dick and husband Mark of Pea Ridge; sister, Sharon Johnson and husband Merle of Oak Hill; 8 grandchildren, Johnathon Robinson (Samantha), Miranda Gilkerson (Stephanie), Alan Kinsler, Justin Kinsler (Samantha), Payton Ramsey (Allen), Nicholas Elkin-Kinsler (Madison), Mark Dick (Madison), and Michael Dick (Shana); 17 great grandchildren, Kinzley, Riley, and Johanton Blake Robinson, Kendell, Raelynn, Callie, Justin, Colton, and Olivia Kinsler, Carly, Martin, and Whitley Ramsey. Chae, Kayleigh, and Jaxon Lucion, Makenlee and Dylan Johnson-Dick.

In keeping with his wishes Mr. Thurmond "Tink:" Morton, Jr. will be cremated with no services at this time.
