Thelma Muncy Boyles, 87, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at her home following a long illness. Born January 6, 1916 at Pilgrim, KY she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Tamsy Preece Muncy. She was a retired Cook for Collins High School, Oak Hill. Mrs. Boyles was a member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God, Oak Hill Chapter #107, O.E.S. where she was Past Matron, Secretary and Treasurer, the Home Demonstration Club, Golden Agers Seniors, RSVP and the WVEA. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Leftrich "Left" Boyles; sisters, Rilda Fannin and Elsie Wooten; brothers, Sherman, Lincoln, Harvey, Samuel Jr. and Arthur Muncy. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Pennock of Parkersburg, WV Sisters: Winnie Muncy of Inez, KY Esculene Moore of Sharples, WV Martha Jane Moore of South Shore, KY Grandsons: David Pennock of Shepherdstown, WV Douglas Pennock of Hollywood, MD Daniel Pennock of Mineral Wells, WV 6 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters also by her special friend, Delores Keith of Fayetteville and her caregiver, Linda Long of Oak Hill Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV on Saturday, July 12, 2003 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm with an Eastern Star Service at 7:00 pm. Services will be on Sunday, July 13, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill. Rev. Ralph Shupe will be officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park., Oak Hill, WV
