Tammy Lee Scruggs

Tammy Lee Scruggs (53) from Charleston,WV passed way on December 31, 2025. Tammy was born on August 19, 1972 and was the eldest daughter of Sandra Scruggs and the late RJ Scruggs of Fayetteville. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kristy Scruggs. Left to cherish her memory along with her mother are her sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Brian Sunderland, and their children, Gavin and Mary Sunderland; nephew, Alex Wright; and niece, Gabby Bennett.

Tammy grew up loving horses and was an avid reader. Later in life, she loved to travel with her family, attend country music concerts, and most of all spoil her nieces and nephews.

She was incredibly sharp and a hard worker all of her life. Tammy was a 1990 graduate of Fayetteville High School and continued her education at the College of West Virginia receiving her degree in Finance. Tammy started working as a teenager as the secretary of her father's company and ended her career as the Deputy Director of the West Virginia State Budget office.

A graveside memorial will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, January 5, 2025 at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
