Susan Kaye Olson

Susan Kaye Holly Olson was received into the arms of Jesus on December 6, 2023 at 69 years old. Susan passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Roger Olson, of 40 years, whom she loved and adored.

Susan was born December 5, 1954 in Sun, WV to the late Estil and Wanda Holly.

Susan worked as a hairdresser at Beauty Fair Salon for 45+ years where she made lifelong friends and served her customers with care. Susan was a member of Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church. The most important thing to Susan was her family. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do for each of them. She was known for the delicious meals she prepared and the loving way she quietly put everyone else before herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Olson and brother, Cyrus Holly. Susan is survived by her three children- Judy Holly of Oak Hill, Wesley Arrington of Oak Hill, and Craig Arrington of Oak Hill; grandchildren Matthew (Beau) Holly, Susan (Sissy) Rivera, Ashley (Nikki) Isaacs and husband Ryan, Haylie Arrington, Piper Arrington and great grandchildren; Mason (Boogie) Holly, Abel and Abigail Isaacs; brother, Lacy Holly (Vicky) of Delaware; as well as a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends, including her best friend of 64 years, Verna “Vernie” Castaldo.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Tammy, Stephanie, Tasha, and Margaret of Hospice of Southern West Virginia for taking special care of Susan.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Harvey Chapel United Methodist Church, 127 Pine Avenue, Oak Hill, WV 25901
