Sharon Sue Skaggs

Sharon Sue Skaggs, 69, of Mullens, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 at her residence following a long illness.  

Born May 19, 1956 at Bluefield, she was the daughter of Georgie Bailey and the late Jack Bailey. 

She was a Registered Nurse and was a former employee of BARH, Raleigh General Hospital, and taught nursing at the Wyoming County Votech. She was also a former hairdresser. 

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Lilly. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Don Skaggs; her mother, Georgie Bailey; step daughter, Stephanie Day of Roanoke, Virginia; step son, Jason Skaggs of Martins Ferry, Ohio; one sister, Tonya Bailey of Lashmeet; one niece, Anna Grace Lilly; one nephew, Kolan Lilly; four step grandchildren, Curtis, Lucas, Mallory, and Jessica Day. 

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
