Ruth Ann Butler Gilliam, 76, of Oak Hill, WV died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill after a long illness.
Born September 28, 1937 at Mount Hope, WV, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anna Raycher Butler.
Ruth was a retired operator for Long-Airdox Co. of Oak Hill and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben R. Gilliam and a daughter, Anna.
Survivors include one son, Anthony Canada of Oak Hill; one daughter, Erica Ellis of Dothan.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Brandon Carag officiating and a eulogy by Michael “Chuck” Cooper. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
