Richard “Rick” Keith McGraw, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born on June 24, 1956 to Susie (Claiborne) McGraw and Paul McGraw, Sr. in Pineville, WV.
Rick loved nothing more than spending time with those he cared about. He loved his family fiercely and shared a special bond with his brothers and sisters. Rick never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good laugh. He was known for his quick wit and playful personality. He loved the outdoors, especially tending to his garden every year. He also loved his faithful dog, Lucky. Above all, Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, mischievous grin, and upbeat personality. He will be greatly missed.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Susie McGraw; brothers, Sam, Paul Jr., and John McGraw; sisters, Laura Ann and Maridonna McGraw, Suzanne Lavell, Patricia Blevins, and Jan Shumate; nephews, Brian, Adam, and Dewey McGraw, Ryan Blevins, and Jeremy Lavell; and great niece Beth Blevins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy McGraw; daughters, Chris Summers, Rhonda (Randall) Reese, and Gina Helms; brothers, Kenny (Yvonne) McGraw and Andy McGraw; sister, Caroline (Rudy) McGraw; a special niece, Kendra Blevins; brother in-law Mike Shumate, seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at 1pm Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 at his brother Kenny McGraw’s residence at 1021 McGraw Hollow Road with Reverend Kenton McGraw officiating.
