Richard M. Kelly, 74, of Summersville died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.

He was born in Harvey on Sept. 28, 1951, to the late Richard A. Kelly and Clara Argabright Terry.

Richard was a 1969 graduate of East Bank High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Faith Levine of Charleston. He is survived by his daughters, Kristie Modahl of LaCrosse, Wis., and Jill Kelly (Steve) of Bellingham, Wash.; his grandson, Lucas Modahl of Madison, Wis.; and four sisters, Becky Hall (C.B.), Patricia Duffie (Michael), Meredith Rush and Angie Kelly-Miller (Terry), all of Charleston.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no services.
