Rebecca Dianne Cafego

Rebecca Dianne Cafego, 72, of Oak Hill, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House surrounded by her beloved husband and children. 

Born November 19, 1952 in Montgomery, WV where she was raised, she was the daughter of Novagene Hershey Pauley. 

Rebecca was deeply loved by her family and friends. A devoted fan of the New York Jets and the Marshall Thundering Herd, she instilled a passion for reading and music in her children and grandchildren, leaving a lasting legacy of love and inspiration. 

In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Otis and Tresa Hershey. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Frank Cafego; her sons, Frank and MJ Cafego of West Virginia, Tony and Laina Cafego of Alaska, and Tom Cafego of Michigan; her daughters, Krista Cafego Spencer of North Carolina and Tresa and Scott Diciuccio of North Carolina; her dear brother, Ron and Tammy Wagner of Kentucky; Rebecca was a cherished Nana to sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and her dog, Sadie. 

A celebration of Rebecca's life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations of sympathy be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
