Randall "Randy" Wayne Scarbro

Randall “Randy” Wayne Scarbro, 60, of Minden, WV, passed away peacefully in his home on January 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 13, 1965, in Oak Hill, WV, to Samuel and Sementha Scarbro.

Randy—who worked as an auto body technician and was owner-operator of Randy’s Body Shop—loved the outdoors, fishing, and four-wheeling. For over 45 years, Randy lived life alongside his best friend, and wife, Devorea. Together, they loved traveling, especially to the beach, and spending time with family. In his spare time, Randy also enjoyed working in his shop, where he repaired and restored vehicles. Described by friends as “an amazing man,” Randy was the type of person who never passed someone on the side of the road without stopping to help.

Randy loved and cherished his family dearly.

Randy is survived by his wife, Devorea, daughters Jennifer (Matthew) Shifflett and Ashley (Riley McCoy) Bane, grandsons Shawn Holcomb and Elijah Shifflett, granddaughters Caitlyn Scarbro—pregnant with his great-grandchild, Allyson and Evelyn Holcomb, Emily and Kyrsten Hunt, Ella Shifflett, Octavia Bane, mother Sementha Scarbro, siblings Samuel Scarbro Jr. and Melisa (Keith) Hudson, and many others.

He is preceded in death by his father Samuel Scarbro, and grandparents Cletus and Elvera Scarbro, and Arnett and Catherine Pack.

To honor his wishes for cremation, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Rocklick Community Church (Minden), on Saturday, January 17, at 2:00 p.m.
