Phyllis James 77 Beckley, WV

On September 27, 2026 Phyllis James affectionately known as mommaw went to be with the Lord after a battle with dementia…..Phyllis was the daughter of the late Bynum and Ollie Thompson, she will be loving remembered by her brother Paul Thompson his wife Nancy of Oklahoma ,a son Wayne James of Mooresville, North Carolina, a daughter Angela Kiblinger, her husband, Alan and a daughter Olivia of Crab Orchard, WV, and her best friend Mabel Hoge of Coal City, West Virginia and Many nieces and nephews. She had a special love for children, where her kindness and patience showed as she spent many years working as a teacher in a daycare center, she later continued her career as an insurance agent.

Phyllis will be remembered for her caring heart, dedication to others and the love she shared with everyone around her. She loved to cook, crochet and serve the Lord, she was a proud member of Beckley Praise church.

Her memory will remain cherished by her family, friends and all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
