Penny Mae Begley

Penny Mae Moore Begley, 64, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Hilltop Nursing Center in Hilltop.

Born October 21, 1958 in Oak Hill, WV she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel Cody Moore.

Penny was a 1977 Collins High School graduate, she worked as a caregiver and a beautician, she was a member of the Advent Church in Gatewood. She enjoyed her cats, reading books, watching the birds, and especially spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Begley; 3 brothers, Jim Moore, Russell Moore, and Gary Moore; and 1 sister, Pee Wee Brown.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her daughter, Crystal Chapman; son, RJ Roles; 7 grandchildren, Ashton Pizza, Jacob Pennington, Gracie Chapman, Elijah Chapman, Aiden Chapman, Noah Roles, and Jackson Roles; and siblings, Rose Holtsclaw-Slaughter, Carol Brown, Charles Moore, Tommy Moore, Susie Smith, Debbie Sears, and David Moore.

Graveside rites with burial to follow will be 1:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Fayetteville with Pastor Bobbie Pauley officiating.
