Pauline Teel Nester

Pauline Teel Nester, 94, of Connersville went home to be with the Lord on June 18 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 25, 1931, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, the eldest daughter of Paul E. Teel and Mildred Cameron Teel. She was educated in Fayette County, West Virginia, and married the love of her life, B. Randall Nester. The pair came to Connersville, Indiana, in December 1951 for him to work at Rex and its successors. She was employed for over 20 years, most notably at Cox's Supermarket. She lived her life as a dedicated, loving mother who held a deep pride in her Christian family and West Virginia roots. Above all, her greatest joy in life was being called "Grandma." She kept her hands and heart full with the family she adored. She loved nothing more than playing with her grandchildren, crafting quilts, cooking meals from scratch, and celebrating family birthdays surrounded by laughter and storytelling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant daughters, Lillian and Sharon; a son, George Alan; one brother, Thomas "Pete" Teel; and two sisters, Rose Teel and Margaret Nichols.

She is survived by her son, Leslie (Donna) Nester; daughter-in-law, Lu Ann Nester; grandchildren, Brian (Kortney) Nester, Lisa (Jim) Schultz, Kara (Clayton) DeBoard, and Rebekah Ashley (Gary) Cerqua; great-grandchildren, Brooke (Riley) Senter, Tyler Nester, Carter (Morgan) DeBoard, Gillian Schultz, Kolton DeBoard, Garrett Schultz, Cooper DeBoard, Kaden DeBoard, and Mac Cerqua; two great-great-grandchildren, Lena and Luca Senter; and a special caregiver, Carrie Lykins.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be conducted at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Oak Hill, West Virginia.
