Paul James Sizemore

Paul James Sizemore, 85, of Bud, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at his residence with his loving family by his side. 

Born February 8, 1941, at Pinnacle Creek, he was the son of the late Joshua and Lessie Sizemore. 

Paul was a member of the Bud Baptist Church. He was a retired coalminer with 37 years of service and a member of UMWA. In his leisure, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, atv riding, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine "Mabel" Sizemore; brothers, Weaver Sizemore, James Sizemore, and Thomas Sizemore; and his sisters, Grace Thomas and Betty Sizemore. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Paulette Howerton and her husband, Keith; Maxine Parra and Randy Brewer and his wife, Leah who he considered like his own children; three granddaughters, Sabel Sizemore (Josh), Nikki Hood (Barry), and Alex McKinney (Cheyenne Blackburn); six great grandchildren, Eli Sizemore, Natalie Sizemore, Whitlee Sizemore, Landon Tilley, Aleah Hood, and Hazel Hood; and sister-in-law, Joyce Brewer. 

Graveside service and burial will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Blue Ridge Memoria Gardens, Beckley with Pastor Derek Sesco officiating. 

Friends may call from 12 noon to 1:30P.M., Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
