Paul A. Foster, 87, of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Hidden Valley Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Hill, WV.
Born June 17, 1934, in Wriston, WV he was the son of the late Rev. Norman and Cora Woolwine Foster.
Paul was a proud United States Army Veteran stationed at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC., was a loyal and faithful member of the Jones Avenue First Church of God in Oak Hill since 1959 and loved his church family like his own. He was a Bass singer with the Singtime Quartet, and enjoyed singing the Gospel. Paul was employed by the Kroger Company for 43 years. .
He was preceded in death by sisters, Norma M. Light (Allen), Ruby I. Ross (George), and Vivian G. Campbell (Paul).
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Bettie A. Spade Foster; son, Greg Foster (Glenna); grandchildren, Ryan Foster (Mackenzie), Makenzi Thome (Jordan), and Chad Cernuto (Elizabeth); and sister, Hazel N. Wood. Six great grandchildren; Bailey, Brooklyn, Brenley, Lakelyn, Beckham, and Lydia.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Jones Avenue First Church of God 420 Jones Avenue Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum in Oak Hill.
Visitation for friends will be 2 hours prior to service Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Church.
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
