Patrick Canada

Patrick Canada, 57, of Mullens, passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born August 3, 1968, in Mullens, he was the son of the late Benny and Edith Willingham.

Patrick was a 1987 graduate of Mullens High School where he played basketball and tennis. He participated in the state tournament in tennis. He attended Bluefield Sate College and was previously employed at Talon Manufacturing as a general laborer. 

When we pause to remember Patrick, let us always remember his friendliness, his service to others by mowing grass to perfection for many in our community and his dedication to walking several times daily without his shirt. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Flora Prillaman. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Jody Canada and his wife, Tammy of Bud; his sister, Michelle McKinney and her husband, Danny of Corinne; his best friend and companion, Leslie Spencer; Patrick enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews participate in sports, his nieces, Tiffany Duncan and her husband, Justin and Jodi Browning and her husband, Tyler; nephews, Kyle Ellis and his wife,  Kacie, Travis McKinney and his wife, Ally, Austin, and McQuade Canada and his wife, Skylar; and his great nieces and nephews, Bentley McKinney, Mia Browning, Luke Ellis, Jaxon McKinney, Jett McKinney, and Hayes Browning. 

Memorial service will be 12 Noon, Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Mullens Family Worship Center, Mullens with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
