Norma Jean Whipkey Parrish, 91, of Oak Hill passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Beckley Healthcare Center in Beckley.

Born June 9, 1934 in Cameron, WV she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Verna Chambers Whipkey.

Norma worked Oak Hill Hospital as a Ward Clerk and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill. In her leisure she enjoyed camping, working crossword puzzles, and she especially loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parent she is also preceded in death by her loving husband Howard Edward Parrish; siblings and there spouses, Lemoyne Whipkey (Naoma), and Ronald Whipkey (Shirley); and sister-in-law, Linda Whipkey.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughter, Cathy Stump (Claude); brother, Lenored Whipkey; special aunt, Patricia Scott; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church 1424 Main Street E. Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Pastor Greg Swisher officiating. Interment will follow at Rest lawn Memory Gardens in Victor, WV.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill.
