Michael Lee Bowyer, Sr.

It is with our deepest sympathy that we are saddened to say that Michael (Mikie) Lee Bowyer, Sr. 45, of Mount Hope passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at CAMC General in Charleston, WV.

Born April 23, 1978 in Beckley, WV he was the son of the late Tony (Mike) and Drema Evans Bowyer.

Michael loved working on cars, watching movies his favorite movie was Scarface, he would watch it over and over with his son (little Mike when he was younger). Some of his favorite lines from the movie was "say goodnight to the bad guy!", "Come on", The last time your going to see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you", "There is a bad guy coming better get out of his way!"' By: Tony Montana played by Al Pacino Scarface, listening to music, was an avid pool player, a comedian who loved to joke, and ladies man.

He is preceded in death by brother, Jerry Williams Bowyer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his five children, Michael Jr., Drema, Eaden, Harley, and Steven Axel; and sisters, Lisa Bowyer Walker and Genny Bowyer.

In keeping with Michael's wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope. Burial will follow at Pax Community Cemetery in Pax, WV with Rev. Jerry Tyree to speak at the graveside.
