Mary Ann Cumbow Johnson

Mary Ann Cumbow Johnson, 91, of Oak Hill, WV died on Thursday, January 31, 2020, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born August 2, 1929, at Harvey, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles and Olive Mayme Fitzgerald Cumbow.
Mary Ann was a 1947 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley and took her nursing training at McMillan Hospital in Charleston. She retired with over 20 years of service as a certified nurse anesthetist for the VA Medical Center in Beckley. Prior to her time at the VA, she was employed for many years at Appalachian Regional Hospital and Plateau Medical Center.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Fayetteville, WV and had great faith in her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll D. Johnson and sister, Betty Jo Cumbow Moyer.
Survivors include one brother, Charles Lee Cumbow (Melinda) of Leonardtown, MD. Also surviving are nephew, Charles F. Cumbow and niece, Betty A. McDonald; grand niece, Olivia and grand nephew, Charles F. Cumbow II.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 4th, 2021 at High Lawn Memorial Park at 11:00 am with Pastor Greg Swisher officiating.
Those planning to attend should use proper COVID 19 precautions by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet.
