Margaret Ann Harmon, 91, of Oak Hill passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at her residence.
Born August 29, 1934 in Rocklick, WV she was the daughter of the late Howard Harmon and Audra Atkins Harmon.
Margaret was 1952 graduate from Oak Hill High School, and after graduating she worked for the phone company for 34 years. She was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. In her leisure she enjoyed making crafts and planting flowers. She was a long-time member of Zi Alpha Rho Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi and was on Fayco Lumber Company and Tyree Funeral Home bowling league.
Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving sister, Betty Harmon Walker; and first cousins, Faye (Larry) Holliday, Gene (Peggy) Green, Kenneth (Virginia) Atkins, Paul Junior Atkins and Margaret Atkins.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving niece, Vanessa Walker; Cousins, Margaret Gray of London, KY, Kathy Green of Lexington, KY, Creighton Green of Washington, D.C., Bill Hudnall of Galagher, WV, and Mary Margaret Annie of Cheatlake, WV; special friends, Helen Green of Beckley and Bobbi and Tracy Stover; and her fur babies-dog, Molly London and cat, Rosey.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Mike Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hoover, Gary Hoover, Brian Stevens, Paul Blankenship. Jim Pettit, and Ken Pettit.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the New River Animal 201 Maple Avenue Oak Hill WV, 25901.
The family would also like to thank Courtney Caudill and Susan Bostic-Smith of Hospice for the care they showed Margaret.
