Louisa "Coots" Susan Williams Mobley, passed away at the age of 101 and 1/2 on August 14, 2025 at home in Maple Fork, WV, surrounded by her family after an injury caused her to be somewhat homebound the last 5 years.
She was a member of Maynor Freewill Baptist Church and attended regularly until her injury. In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked for several years at G.C. Murphy in Beckley.
Louisa was born December 15, 1923 at Ingram Branch, WV to the late Edgar Ray Williams and Hallie Myrtle Williams Williams and grew up in the Pax and Cirtsville, WV areas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James R. Williams; sisters, Vivian F. Williams Moore, Madeline Williams Aliff, Gretna Jean Williams Adkins; son, William Pete Mobley; and step-daughter, Patricia Mobley Lamb.
Surviving are her children, Karen Mobley Nipper (Nick), Roy Thomas Mobley, Jackie K. Mobley (Penny), Rickie Michael Mobley (Sharon) and Russella K. Mobley Catlett (Dale); daughter-in-law, Sandra Pennington Mobley.
She was a "beloved" mawmaw to grandchildren, Susan Nicole Nipper Tilley (David), Jason Ryan Nipper (Kevan), Nick Wayne Nipper (Leilani), Kevin Scott Mobley, Mark Allen Mobley (Jennie), Lena Janell Catlett Davis (Greg), Crystal Dawn Mobley Bradburn (Chad), Toni O'Bryan, Bruce Taylor (Joann), Mechelle L. Lamb, and Scott E. Lamb.
She was also blessed with twenty-one great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren who loved her very much.
She will truly be missed by lots of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and no service will be held at this time.
