Louella Mae (Peggy Bloxton) Vannatter Jordan April 28, 1932-April 5, 2026
Our beloved Peggy, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 5th 2026. She passed peacefully at home in Oak Hill, WV. Born April 28, 1932 the 3rd of 7 children to Bernard and Dorothy Bloxton in Summerlee, WV.
Peggy was a cook for the Fayette County School system for many years. She loved crocheting, singing, and flowers. She was a member of the Scarbro Garden Club. She attended Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene where she was an active member of the choir as well as a soloist.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters as well as her husbands Earl Vannatter and Ralph Jordan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: daughters Barbara Kees Light (Jerry), Shelia Robertson (Steve), Sherry Miller (Dennis) and sons, David Vannatter, Scott Vannatter (Zondra). Grandchildren: Kimberly Spradling (Robert), Shawn Miller (Tami), Carrie Black (Michael), Amanda Kees, Derick Miller (Bailey), Sarah Williaman (Ryan), Cory Vannatter (Meagen), and Colin Vannatter. Great Grandchildren: Lindee, Wyatt, Shelby, Micayla, Mason, Cali, Emmy, Avery, Grady, Maddie, Aletheia, and Jonathan Great Great Grandchildren: Lowell, Cyril, and June Nieces: Caroline and Beth Special family friend and caregiver: Dianna Cottle
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene 3221 Main Street E. Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Dr. Larry Lain and Pastor Bret Layton officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park in Fayettteville.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the church.
