Lillie Mae Roberts Shrout, 86, of Mount Hope went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Born July 12, 1939 in Tamroy, WV. She was the daughter of the late Robert Roberts and Demple Roberts.
Lillie attended Mount Hope Wesleyan Church until she was too ill to attend. She previously attended Cranberry Community Church. She has a beautiful voice and sang in the choir. In her younger days she worked for Olan Mills Studio. She then became an Avon representative where she was a member of the Avan Presidents Club for many years. She loved reading her Bible and mornings with Jesus. She also enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Noel Dayton Shrout; sons, Terry Lee and Brian Scott Shrout; and grandsons, Ricky, Jereme, and Travis Shrout.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her son, Noel Edward Shrout and wife Donna of Beckley; granddaughter, Brittany Rice (Shawn Laughery) of Oak Hill, great grandchildren, Faith and Elijah Shrout, Isabella and Zayden Laughery; and many dear friends including Norma Menei who was like a sister to her.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 5 ,2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Hope with Rev. Richard Midkiff officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley.
Visitation for friends will be on hour prior to service at the funeral home in Mount Hope on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
