Laura Bell Moore

Laura Bell Moore, 90, of Huntington passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington.

Born May 5, 1933 in Long Branch, WV she was the daughter of the late, Jeff and Nancy Elizabeth Matthews Lively.

Laura attended Fayette County schools, graduated from Beckley Beauty Academy, and was owner of Laura's Beauty Salon at Cool Ridge, WV. Later she graduated from the Raleigh County Vocational school as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later went to Bluefield State College to become a Registered Nurse, retired from nursing last working at Extend-A-Care Home Health. She was a member of he Ghent Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed always spending time with her pets and family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Melzah Moore; brothers, Willis Lively and Troy Lively; and sisters Ruby Markwell and Lottie Schubert.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her children, Michele Endicott, James Endicott, Jr., Stephen Endicott, Richard Endicott (Debbie), Mercedes “Dee” Lapekes, and Nancy Eunice Hartsog; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Barbara Mullins.

Graveside service with entombment to follow will be 2:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley.
