June Sweeney Atkinson , 81, of Hampton, VA formerly of Pax, WV died on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Northampton Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center in Hampton, VA. Born January 21, 1931 at Pax, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter Isaac and Callie B. Stanley Sweeney. She was a homemaker. Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Connie Leigh Atkinson of Atlanta, GA sisters, Mamie Smith of Hampton, VA and Lakie Smith of Florida, a brother, Norman Dale Sweeney of Oklahoma, and several nieces and nephews. Entombment will be on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum #2 in Prosperity. There will be no visitation.
