Julian Bryant Wriston, 77, of Scarbro passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.
Born July 30, 1944 in Oak Hill, WV he was the son of the late Winifred and Beulah Burnside Wriston.
Julian was a proud United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam area where he received the Bronze Star and also the Purple Heart, after serving in the military he went to work in the coal mines. He was a avid hunter and fisherman, and loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by several brothers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and adoring wife Naomi June Wriston; Children, Amy Wriston, Steven Wriston (Missy) and Aaron Wriston (Kelly); grandchildren, Christian St. Clair, Jayden St. Clair, and Alexa St. Clair, Logan Wriston, Jacob Wriston, Dakota Wriston, and Paige Wriston; siblings, Joan Armstrong, Joyce Hall, Marlyn Dravenstott, Rose Hundley, Wallace Wriston, and Kenny Wriston.
Graveside service with burial to follow will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Aliff Cemetery in Mossy, WV. with Pastor Paul Basham officiating.
