Judy Vernease Gill

Judy Vernease Gill, 72, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 15, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 20, 1951, at Lansing, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Guy and Freda Vernease (Roach) Workman.

Judy was a former CNA. In her leisure she enjoyed cooking, caring for people, and most importantly she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a dedicated member to the Beauty Mountain Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Gill.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tonya Wills and her husband, Randy and Connie Balsamo and her husband, Leo; one son, Albert Gill; fourteen grandchildren, Randy, Deborah, Kris, Isaiah, AJ, Eric, Chad, Kelsey, Alyssa, Tiersa, Ethan, Caleb, Austin, and Chloe; three great grandchildren, Jaxson, Maryjane, and Cynthia; one sister, Jessie Street; three brothers, Harvey Workman and his wife, Cheryl, Herchel Workman, and Richard Workman and his wife, Tina.

Services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Beauty Mountain Baptist Church, Edmond, WV with Elder Leroy Pack and Jonathan Bailess officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
