Johnnie Allen Ward

Johnnie Allen Ward, 51, of Oak Hill passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his residence.

Born October 24, 1974 in Beckley, WV he was the son of Dollie Kay Goode Ward and the late Sidney Ward.

Johnnie loved being outdoors cutting wood or mowing the grass and loved helping other anyone that knew him knew they could count on him for anything when they called. He loved playing on his cell phone, and his great joy in life was his family especially his nieces and nephews who he would spoil with bubble gum. Everyone who knew him loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Sidney Ward; sister Patricia Furrow; and nephew, Stephen.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving mother, Dollie Kay Goode Ward; sisters, Lynn Stafford (Bobbie) and Julie Humphrey (David); brother, Alex Ward and companion (Samantha Conley); nieces, Elena, Sarah, and April; nephews, Lucas, Bobbie Jr., Gary Allen and Davy; and 3 great nieces, Gracie, Shelly, and Mattie.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak Hill.
