John Michael Sodder

John Michael “Bear” Sodder passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019.
Born on April 26, 1952 in Fayetteville, WV he was the son of Margaret (Meadows) Sodder and the late John F. Sodder. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and attended West Virginia Institute of Technology. He was a faithful member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. The majority of his career he worked as a mechanic and truck driver for his family’s company, Sodder Trucking.
Michael loved cars and had a particular passion for Mustangs. He loved his role as “Uncle Mike”. He had a vivacious personality and was known for his quick wit and humor, storytelling, and working hard. He was “Bear” to many but his growl was larger than his bite.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret; sister, Diana Bandy; nephew, Jonathan Bandy; niece, Whitney Worthington; aunt, Silvia Paxton; and by several cousins and many friends.
Please join us celebrating his life Friday morning March 15, 2019 at a graveside rite and committal at 11:00 am at Fayetteville Huse Memorial Park, 124 Park Drive.
