John Edward Hudson III

John Edward Hudson III, 22, of Oak Hill passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at CAMC Memorial in Charleston.

Born December 31, 2002 in Beckley, WV he was the son of the John Hudson II and Barbara Evans Fleshman.

John worked in construction and was loved by many he never met a stranger. In his leisure he loved being surrounded by family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmore Ray Evans, Sr. and Susan Ellen Evans; uncles, Edward "Roscoe" Elmore III and Michael Elmore; and aunt Ruby Evans Stover.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his parents, John Hudson II and Barbara Sue Evans Fleshman;  whom he lived with his aunt and uncle, Jeannie Elmore and Sean Dotson; grandmother, Billie Remy and companion Charles Bragg; grandfather, Edward Elmore, Jr. and companion Angie; sister, Gracelynn Evans; He will be deeply missed by his brothers, Elmer Ray Evans, Leland Michael Evans, Michael Elmore, Taylor Dotson, River Treadway (Alexis), and Nicky Kelly; aunts Amy Evans (Bill) and Jackie Evans and companion Chase Stutler; uncle, Alan Hudson; nieces, Caroline Treadway, Wrenley Treadway, Isabella Hodge, and Morgan Stover; nephew, Hunter Stover; cousins, Christian Stutler, Chase Stutler, Raegan Stutler, Amy Perry, and Zack Humphrey; and many loving cousins and friends. John will be deeply missed.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Minden Missionary Baptist Church in Minden with Pastor Ron Richards officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmore Cemetery in Minden.

Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the church in Minden on Friday, June 27, 2025.
