John Aurednik, Jr. , 80, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born October 21, 1938 at Glen Jean, WV he was the son of the late John Aurednik, Sr. and Helen Isabelle Hatcher Aurednik.
John was a retired coal mine electrician, member of the UMWA and was a US Navy veteran. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rev. Barbara McDermott Aurednik; son, John Michael Aurednik of Scarbro and fiance, Teresa Timmerman of Fayetteville; brothers, James Aurednik of Beckley and Joseph Wenzel Aurednik of Webster, FL; sisters, Louise Standish of Arkansas and Linda Young of Webster, FL; four grandchildren Erika Katelyn Cottle; John Michael-Aaron Aurednik, Emily Paige Aurednik and Eric Logan Thomas Aurednik; and one great grandson, Ethan Kohl Cottle.
Graveside rites and committal services will be on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Michael Aurednik officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
