Jimmie Ray Cooper

Jimmie Ray Cooper, 91, of Oak Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born January 2, 1935, at Layland, WV, he was the son of the late William Lee and Ethel (Lewis) Cooper. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Rev. Carlos Lewis, Wilford Lewis, Raymond (JR) Lewis, Denzel Lee Cooper, Eugene Cooper, Mae Coffman, and Virginia Earls; and his first wife, Patricia Elizabeth Cooper. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia Ann Cooper; son, Steve Cooper and his wife, Becky; stepsons, Chris Randolph and Jason Randolph; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and special brothers and sisters-in-law. 

Services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 23, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Eric Snuffer and Rev. Chris Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. 

Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
