Jeff Edward Davis

Jeff Edward Davis, 70, of Oak Hill passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 5, 2024 at Plateau Medical Center. Born June 30, 1953 he was the son of the late Alex "Dink" Davis and Patsy Davis. Jeff was a retired coal miner where he started working in 1971. He was a proud member of the UMWA. Jeff was a devoted member of the local 120 Masonic Lodge since 1986, where he coached many young men.  

In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by son, Mark Allen Davis and brother, Rocky Dale Davis.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Sherri (Poff) Davis; son, Gregg Edward Davis (Amanda); grandsons, Davin Edward Davis (Cassidey) and Elijah Seth Davis; great grandson, Tristan Edward Davis; brother, Dinky Davis; sisters, Donna Copley (Jim) and Connie Meadows (Jerry); many nieces and nephews and close friends. 

Jeff was a one in a million man, always there for anyone that needed a hand. He had a heart of gold and anyone that knew him was surely blessed, he didn't know a stranger. He spent most of his retirement days spending time with the ones he loved most, his family. He had a very close relationship with his son, grandsons and great grandson; making sure they knew he was proud of them and loved them. 

In keeping Jeff's wishes, he will be cremated and buried at a later date at Highlawn Cemetery.
