Janet Elizabeth Speck

Janet Elizabeth Speck, 93, of Mt. Nebo, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Ansted Center. 

Born in Piscataway NJ to Alice Kucharsky and Anthony Chodak. She is preceded by her brother Frank. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother with an endearing love of animals. She took the utmost care of the horses and dogs that she and her belated husband of 60 years, Adam on their little farm in Hopewell, New Jersey.

Her husband and her spent many years working with both boy and girl scouts. Being outdoors and years of camping with her family fulfilled her spiritually and she said she felt nearer to the lord there than anywhere else. She is survived by her son Michael (Elena) of Westmoreland New Hampshire, daughter Susan (John) of Mt Nebo WV, grandsons Daniel of Las Vegas NV, and Steve (Luz) of Milford New Hampshire, with great grandchildren Johan, Lucas, and Zoe. 

She is lovingly remembered especially for her perseverance, patience and dedication to her family through all that life presented her.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.
