James Andrew Smith , 94, of Fayetteville, WV passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston, WV.
Born October 22, 1926, in Kincaid, WV he was the son of the late Andrew Jasper and Willie Mae McCormick Smith.
James worked on the railroad before retiring after 42 1/2 years. He was a World War II US Army veteran and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard Smith and Bob Smith; sisters, Elsie Hughes and Gracie Lewis.
Those left to cherish his memory include children, Regina Maxwell, Deanna Taylor, Debbie Stevens, Mark Smith, and James Smith; 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Roger Smith; and sisters, Dolly Keffer, Patty Manning, and Leona Dye.
Graveside service will be on 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Kincaid Cemetery in Kincaid, WV with Pastor Ronnie Persinger officiating. Burial will follow.
Those planning to attend should use proper COVID 19 precautions by wearing masks; maintaining social distancing of 6 feet and having.
