James Franklin Farley, 83, of Bolt, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Beckley Healthcare Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 20, 1942 at Charleston, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Farley.
James was a retired coal truck driver and a member of UMWA with 39 years of service. He was an active faithful member of the Soak Creek Gospel Tabernacle, Sunday School Teacher, and he was well loved by all the church congregation. He will be sadly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; two brothers, Gary and Charles; son, Tim; and grandson, Josh.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Glen (Patricia) and Eric (Cathy); brothers, Danny and David; sister, Mary; grandchildren, Michael, Justin, and Amanda; and twelve great grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00P.M., Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Soak Creek Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Kenneth Ayers and Pator Denny Hughes officiating and Pastor Joe Cadle singing. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Beckley Healthcare Rehabilitation Center for their care that was shown to James during his stay.
