Jacob Andrew Hanson, 27 years old, who lived his life here on earth in a wheelchair, is now at home in Heaven, walking the streets of gold. Born September 22, 1995, to Amanda Davis, Oak Hill and Andrew Hanson, formerly of Fayetteville and now residing in Tomahawk, KY.
Jacob was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill and a 2014 graduate of Oak Hill High School. Best of all he served as a “greeter” at Hatcher’s Music Center.
A joy to all who knew him, he is survived by his mother Amanda Davis(Mark White); father Andrew Hanson (Marcie), grandmother, Margie Davis, grandparents, Dennis and Susan Hanson, half brothers, Korey and Carson Hanson, Great Aunt, Lydia Davis, Uncle, Joseph Davis(Laura), Aunts, Susannah Mealy(Anthony), Elizabeth Snyder(Donnie), Cathryn Miller(Blake), Jane Benger and several cousins.
Those particularly special to Jacob are: Gary and Beverly Gover, Alan and Theresa Flanagan, Pastor Greg, and Keith Campbell his singing buddy, Jane Benger and Goldie Bell his care giver for 9 years.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church 1424 East Main Street Oak Hill WV, 25901 with Pastor Greg Swisher officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill. Visitation for friends will be from 11:00AM until 1:00 at the church.
