Jack Edward Treadway, 79, of Scarbro, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 in a Charleston hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 18, 1946, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late Earnest Benjamin and Wanda (Brown) Treadway.
Jack was a former welder in the coalmines. He attended the Loopcreek Baptist Church and in his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his six siblings, Susan Smith, Ernest Treadway, Ben Treadway, Joyce Gibson, Louise "Kitty" Jeffries, and Nellie "Deloris" Crawford.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sweetest blossom of 20 years, Dreama Treadway; two daughters, Tammy Thompson (Larry) of Oak Hill and Christy Phares (Jeff) of Fayetteville; step daughter, Lisa Arthur of Hylton Village; step son, Roy Arthur (Amanda) of Victor; five grandchildren, Brittny Drennen (Travis), Garrett Thompson (Allison), Kyle Thompson (Bethanie), Trey Phares (Kim), and Earnest Arthur; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Legg (Mike) and Margaret Bellew; numerous nieces and nephews whom all loved him; and numerous other family and friends who referred to him as Paw Paw.
Services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor Ron Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
