Wheeler Francis "Jack" Harrah, Jr. , 80, of Oak Hill, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Hilltop Center in Hilltop, WV.
Born January 12, 1941 in Elverton, WV he was the son of the late Wheeler F. Harrah, Sr. and Madeline Maye Peters Harrah.
Jack attended Collins High School in Oak Hill before joining the US Army in 1959. He proudly served in the Army for almost three years and was a member of the American Legion. He retired as Plant Manager for Metalflex Engineering. Jack was a member of the Oak Hill Christian Church.
A brother, Thomas Harrah preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 24 years, Victoria Ann Norosky Harrah; step-daughter, Cheryl Martin and husband, John, of Palmyra, VA; step-son, Kyle Norosky and wife, Lesley, of Manassas, VA; step grandchildren, Michael Rakes of Palmyra, VA, Aneila Martin of Palmyra, VA, Derek Martin of Holly, Mich., Edwin Martin of Holly, Mich., Garrett Norosky of Manassas, VA and Kylie Norosky of Manassas, VA; and great grandchildren, Eliza and Maverick Rakes of Palmyra, VA, and Autumn and Isabella Martin of Holly, Mich.
Also surviving are brothers, Gerald Harrah and wife, Brenda, of Covington, GA and Ronald Harrah and wife, Betty of Fayetteville, GA; and sister, Kaye Williams and husband, Jeffery of Evergreen, CO.
Graveside service and committal will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill with Minister Carlos Hodge officiating Burial will follow. If you wish to follow in procession to the cemetery please arrive at the funeral home no later than 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Oak Hill Christian Church, 2545 Summerlee Road, Oak Hill WV 25901 or a charity of your choice.
The family requests that masks be worn and those in attendance practice social distancing as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19. . "Share memories - not hugs."
