Herbert Ben Howington, Jr.

Herbert Ben Howington, Jr., 59, of Oak Hill, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at his residence.

Born September 1, 1966, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late Herbert Ben Howington, Sr. and Alice Enola (King) Howington. 

Herbert enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes, and fourwheelers. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son, Joshua Ben Howington; and his siblings, Billy Howington, Samuel Lee Howington, Elizabeth Ann Howington, and James Howington.

Those left to cherihs his memory include his daughter, Whitney Howington; two sons, Brandon and Bradley Howington; four grandchildren, Braeley Flint, Waylon Farley, Bentley Howington, and Braxton Howington; three sisters, Carol Tafoya, Theresa Anderson, and Martha Garrison and two brothers, Michael Howington and Benny Ruff, Jr. 

A memorial committal service and inurnment will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill with Rev. Terry Dameron officiating.
