Helen Anne (Williams) Diaz

Helen Anne Williams Diaz, 91, of Oak Hill passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Oak Hill Place in Oak Hill with her loving family by her side.

Born July 27, 1934 in Artie, WV she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Williams, Sr. and Thelma Mae Hatfield Williams.

Helen worked as a Respiratory Therapist for Montgomery General Hospital and in her leisure she enjoyed to travel and she especially loved being surrounded by her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Boyd; second husband, Marshall Diaz; son-in-law, DeWitt Clinton Gallaher, IV; and siblings, Margaret Bryant, Norman "Sis" Hill, Billy Williams, Emmitt Williams, Jr., Norman Williams, and Herman Williams.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving daughter, Connie Gallaher; son, Gary Boyd (Lynn); grandchildren, Kelli Parsons, Robert "Tony" Pell, Samuel Gallaher, Jessica Boyd Mainella, Joshua Boyd, and Susa Boyd; and great grandchildren, Ashlee Mainella, Luke Mainella, Matthew Boyd, Josh Boyd, Lillie Boyd, Maddie Boyd, Nicholas Pell, Hayden Pell, and Khloe Nett.

In keeping with Ms. Helen Diaz wishes she will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Spring.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Oak Hill Place fore there wonderful gratitude and care they showed to MS. Diaz and her family and also to the nurses from Hospice who took special care of her.

Ms. Helen wish was for donations to be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
