Helen E. Stovall Patton, 84, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness Born May 26, 1921 at Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Sexton and Cursy Ross Stovall. Mrs. Patton was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Oak Hill, WV. She assisted her late husband in his ministry at the Hilltop Healthcare Center and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. James S. Patton on January 24, 2005. Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Lilly of Belle, WV; four sons, Robert Patton of Hopewell, VA, Harold Patton of Hopewell, VA, William Patton of Charleston, WV and Duane Patton of Parkersburg, WV; one brother, Jimmie Stovall of Peterstown, WV; two sisters, Vera Morgan of Beckley, WV and Ann Flowers of Sophia, WV; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, June 23, 2005, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 24, 2005, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services will be on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David White officiating. Burial will be at the Ross Family Cemetery, Flat Top WV.
