Harold Eugene Adkins

Harold Eugene Adkins, 74, of Hico, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. 

Born March 12, 1952 at Droop Mountain, he was the son of the late T.B. Adkins and Mabel Adkins Powell.

Harold was a former coalminer, he timbered for Columbia of Craigsville, and was the Owner of the Little Block saw mill.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Edgar Powell; and one brother, Tom Powell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl Jordan; three sons, Chris Adkins (George Texidor), Tim Adkins (Lindsay), and Jared Adkins (Sarah); six grandchildren, Noah, Jerrico, Jordan, Seth, Tessa, and Brett "Boo"; best friends, Louella and Allen Carte and Pam Kelly; the mother of his children, Brenda Adkins; and many many other great friends. 

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.
