Gary Joseph Coy

Gary Joseph Coy, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Born July 11, 1949 at Scarbro, he was the son of the late Joseph and Imogene (Johns) Coy. 

Gary was a former maintenance employee for Kmart. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved all of his nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Johns and William Coy. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Dolly Hornsby and Kay Turner; one brother, Darrell Coy; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In keeping with Gary's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
